You are going to give a talk about the place where you live. You will have to start in 1.5 minutes and will speak for not more than 2 minutes.

Remember to say:

• what your city, town or village is famous for;

• what your favourite place in your city, town or village is, and why you like it;

• whether you are going to stay in your city, town or village after leaving school or move to another place, and why;

• what your attitude to your city, town or village is.

You have to talk continuously.

I’m going to give a talk about the place where I live.

I live in … It’s a huge/rather big/not very big/tiny city on the south/north/west/east of our country. It’s rather famous for its museums/theaters/plants and factories and of course its history. Everybody knows my city because of its remarkable sights/industry/beauty of nature.

My favourite place in my city is a cozy cafe in the city center. I love it because it’s the place where me and my friends spend time hanging out, having fun and laughing. Also the cafe offers the best desserts in the city and I like their chocolate cake the most.

As you see I love my city and my friends who live there but I’m thinking about moving somewhere else. It’s been a dream from my childhood to see Moscow/Saint Petersburg with my own eyes and if it’s possible to get an education there and probably get a job. Unfortunately, my home town can’t afford such brilliant opportunities for study and work.

In general, my attitude towards my city/town/village is positive. I like some places here, I love some people who live here, but I am considering an opportunity to live somewhere else too.

That’s all that I wanted to tell you about the place where I live.
